Gestational Diabetes is a form of diabetes that occurs during the later stages of pregnancy. Gestational Diabetes is usually due to the over consumption of sugary foods during the pregnancy. - Although gestational diabetes typically resolves after delivery, women who have gestational diabetes are more likely to develop Type 2 Diabetes later in life.
- Women with gestational diabetes are highly likely to have larger birth weight babies.
