Mindful eating is a way of eating based on the Zen principle of mindfulness. It is about taking the time to become conscious of what you are eating. You are encouraged to choose foods that are both desirable and nourish the body. Mindful eating develops your ability to become more aware of physical hunger and the satiety cues that guide you on when to stop eating.
